Austin Shoemaker
Co-Founder & Director of Sports Performance

As the Director of Sports Performance Austin oversees the execution of business operations, as well as all speed, power, and strength training sessions and programming for Mad Apple Athletes. He was introduced to the field of performance from the athlete’s perspective first and became fascinated by the impact superior coaching and quality training programs could have. He brings over 7 years of experience, and has worked with hundreds of athletes from a variety of sports and levels – including multiple collegiate scholarship recipients, state champions, and has had the privilege to work with many past and present elite athletes, and NFL athletes in Combine/Pro Day preparation.

Austin played four years of collegiate football at Trine University, and obtained his degree in 2015 in Exercise Science & Kinesiology. In addition, he holds the nationally recognized certification by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS), as well as the USA Weightlifting Sports Performance (USAW) certification. His proficiency and principle-based coaching style gives him a unique multi-faceted approach to achieve superior, applicable outcomes. He takes every opportunity to continue to learn, improve and hone his craft to better serve athletes.

“The work is done with biomechanics but it’s accomplished through trust and relationships. I want to bring out the best of my athletes as so many of my coaches did for me. My goal is and always will be to make a positive impact on my athletes lives. If I can do that, I can think of no better way of using the gifts God gave me to make an impact while I’m here. I’m grateful for this opportunity and I’m proud to serve and support the athletes and families across Northeast Indiana.”
